The lesson “The Israelites and the Golden Calf” teaches children about how the Israelites broke the first two Commandments and how we are supposed to trust and worship God in obedience rather than turn away from His commands. The children will describe why God was upset with their disobedience and list ways each of them can put God first and obey Him. The lesson includes guided instructions for the teacher, including preparation, a script, and suggested activities to facilitate further learning in a fun and interactive manner. This lesson is designed for children between 6-8 years, and is the 20th lesson in the 1st Year Core Curriculum Set and part of the “God’s Special People” unit.
