The curriculum set, “Youth Development Lesson Plans for Ages 15-18, Year 1” is a collection of lessons that aims to equip youth spiritually, physically, cognitively and socio-emotionally. Key indicators of success with this curriculum are youth who are demonstrating a commitment to the Lordship of Christ, choosing good health practices, exhibiting motivation to be economically self-supporting, and interacting with others in a compassionate manner. The curriculum is contextualized for Africa, and uses age appropriate verbiage, activities, and illustrations to help prepare youth for adulthood. Topics are varied, but include time management, job searching, first-aid, and marriage preparation. All lesson plans include instructions for preparing the material, teaching the lesson with hands-on activities, and assessment of learning. This set of lessons is designed to accompany Youth Development Lesson Plans for Ages 15-18, Year 2.”
