The lesson “Visiting a Business” helps to develop motivation and knowledge in children to enable them to be economically self-supporting in the future and helps them to understand the basic principles of owning and managing their own small business or micro-enterprise. The children will work together to generate questions for a local small business and then visit the business for a real-life experience. The lesson includes guided instructions for the teacher, including preparation, a script, and suggested activities to facilitate further learning in a fun and interactive manner. This lesson is designed for children between 6-8 years, and is the 38th lesson in the 1st Year “Business – Micro-Enterprise” unit.
