The lesson “Local Weather – Rain and Storms” teaches children about their community and different types of weather that occur there and all over the world. Children will learn and identify that rain comes from clouds in the sky and its benefit to the plants, crops, and animals. The lesson includes guided instructions for the teacher, including preparation, a script, and suggested activities to facilitate further learning in a fun and interactive manner. This lesson is designed for children between 3-5 years, and is the 16th lesson in the 2nd Year “Understanding My Community” unit.
