Study Skills - Year 2

These two lessons builds on the concepts presented in Year 1 of this same topic. Students will learn test-taking strategies, and increase their skill at answering specific types of questions. Lesson 1 empowers students to list test-taking strategies, learn how to preview a test, and to prioritize exam questions . Lesson 2 increases the students’ understanding of different types of test questions, and walks them through a practical example of applying strategies to different types of questions. The lessons are 45 minutes long and are meant for an entire class, utilizing small-group time as well. Each of the two lessons includes a detailed lesson plan, lists of materials needed, and questions to help guide a constructive conversation.
