In this video tutorial, Chrissy Sykes, author of the My Body is My Body program, covers the objective of the second song in her series called, “If It Don’t Feel Right – Don’t Do It.” She discusses the benefits of using music to help children remember and connect positively to these important messages. This song is about empowering children to listen to their feelings. Chrissy invites parents, caregivers and others who work with children to use this song to talk about feelings, different kinds of peer pressure and scenarios where someone is doing something that makes them feel uncomfortable. Children need to know they can and should listen to their feelings, and that it is important to say something if they are uncomfortable.
